This policy explains how Mountain Luxe Home LLC, doing business as Virtual Luxe Home ("we", "us"), collects and uses personal information when you use www.virtualluxehome.com, the Aesthetic DNA quiz at quiz.virtualluxehome.com, and our design services. We are the controller of your personal information.

1. What we collect

  • Quiz answers and the style reading we generate from them.

  • Your first name and email address, so we can send your reading.

  • Your phone number, only if you choose to give it.

  • Your choices about emails and calls (which boxes you ticked, the wording you saw, and when).

  • Order details when you buy a service (handled through our store and its payment processors).

  • Anything you send us by email.

Information collected automatically

  • On www.virtualluxehome.com: device, browser, pages visited, and how you interact with pages, through the tools listed in Section 4.

  • On the quiz: we do not use analytics or advertising tools. We store your reading link in your browser for the current session so you can reopen it.

Your reading is created automatically from your answers. It describes your style preferences only and has no legal or similarly significant effect on you.

Your reading is free whether or not you agree to emails or calls.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We use these service providers, who process it on our behalf:

  • Google (Google Workspace: email, spreadsheets and scripts that store quiz submissions and send your reading)

  • Netlify (hosts the quiz)

  • Squarespace (hosts our website and store; payments are handled by its payment processors)

  • Microsoft (Clarity and Microsoft Advertising on www.virtualluxehome.com)

We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

www.virtualluxehome.com uses Microsoft Clarity, Microsoft Advertising, Meta Pixel and Google Tag Manager, Omnisend (email), Pinterest (ads), and Google reCAPTCHA (spam protection). Where the law requires it, these run only after you agree in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.

The quiz does not set advertising or analytics cookies.

5. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our providers process data in the United States. For personal data from the EU, UK or Switzerland, we rely on our providers' participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK and Swiss extensions) where available, or on Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep it

  • Quiz submissions and contact details: 24 months after your last interaction with us, then deleted, unless you become a client.

  • Records of your email and call choices: for as long as we rely on them, plus the period needed to show we had your permission.

  • Client and order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.

  • If you ask us to delete your information, we do so within one month, except what we must keep by law.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before.

  • Stop marketing emails: reply "unsubscribe" to any of our emails, or email us.

  • Stop calls: tell us on the call, or email us.

  • Any other request: email stephanie@virtualluxehome.com. We respond within one month.

If you are in the EU, UK or Switzerland, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

California residents: you have the rights described above, including the right to know, delete and correct, and we will not treat you differently for using them.

8. Children

Our site and quiz are not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

Quiz submissions are stored in an access-restricted account. Reading links contain your style profile only, never your name or contact details. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

10. Changes

We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we use information you already gave us, we will tell you before it applies.
